REEFER
SERVICE PACKAGE
The Reefer Service Department specialises in providing technical
service for reefer units. As the largest reefer service organisation
in Europe we have all the necessary know-how in-house and the
required spare parts in stock to allow us to operate effectively and
quickly. 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Independence Smith-Holland’s service does not
recognize any borders and is not tied to any one location. As an
independent reefer service company we have access to every container
depot and every container terminal in the port of Rotterdam.
Efficient communications systems direct our fully equipped service
vans from customer to customer. Major damage repairs, retrofitting
and refurbishment can be carried out in our repair workshop in
Spijkenisse.
Services Smith-Holland services all major container
brands such as Carrier Transicold, Thermo King, Daikin, Mitsubishi,
Klinge etc. We offer you the best factory trained engineers which
guarantees you that all reparis will be executed according factory
standards.
Fast service, constant quality Short lines of
communication, a high level of know-how and a flexible organization
ensure fast service with constant quality. Our engineers’
comprehensive duty roster ensures that we can respond round the
clock. In our view, the role of the customer is becoming ever
more important: exclusive quality and service provision agreements
are a modern feature and can assist in improving your continuity of
operations.
Service package
- Pre-Trip Inspections
Inspection of all technical functions
and possible visible damage to the reefer unit or generator set.
Following this procedure, a single quotation is submitted enabling
any repairs to be carried out directly. This is done by our own
factory-trained personnel, i.e. with first-hand know-how.
- Monitoring Inspection
Inspection of technical functions
and settings of loaded containers (temperature, humidity control,
ventilation etc.), 24 hours before loading/after unloading.
- Service Calls
Repair of reefer units when loaded in the
event of a fault or failure after notification by the customer or
terminal. Engineers are on standby 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
for this.
- Off-Hire or On-Hire Inspection
Inspection of all technical
functions and any visible damage based on the leasing company’s
specifications. Following this inspection all repairs are carried
out based on an estimate.
- Warranty and Modifications
Repair or the completion of
modifications are dealt with independently within the
manufacturer’s warranty. Details of this work are notified to the
customer/owner of the reefer unit and charged to the supplier.
Total cost control for our customers is paramount in our view.
- Other services
In addition to the above main products, RSD
also provides the following services: Temperature settings
(TSG); retrofitting of refrigeration systems (RETRO); mini PTIs 30
days after the PTI date (MPTI); data retrieval (RET) and various
others types of work (on request).
Extra: Maintenance & Repair Service In the light
of the increasing requirement for technical know-how in the shipping
line in the field of Maintenance & Repair, we offer our
customers a full-service package including M&R services. This
service gives you the option of leaving specific matters wholly or
partially in the hands of Smith-Holland. You have the questions, we
have the answers.
Efficiency through information technology Because of
the large quantity of PTIs, MON and SCLs, the decision has been
taken to carry out data processing just once. All data can be sent
to you online at any requested time. Our specially developed
computer system enables us to give you price information and daily
signing-off reports related to planning, in various formats. In the
near future online information will play an even greater role in our
corporate strategy. Investment in ICT is a necessity.
